Torie is an Afrofuturistic writer and Detroit storyteller who builds worlds where Black genius is celebrated, protected, and unleashed. She is the author of Revolutionary Girls, a picture book centering the magic and resilience of Black girlhood, and Project GYNS, an Afrofuturistic graphic novel envisioning a fully invested Detroit where youth shape the future.

 

Her unpublished anthology, Chosen: Tales  from Africa to America, continues her mission to weave ancestral wisdom, speculative imagination, and radical possibility into every story she tells.
